The OPT101 is a monolithic photodiode with an on-chip transimpedance amplifier. The combination of photodiode and transimpedance amplifier on a single chip eliminates problems commonly encountered in discrete designs, such as leakage current errors, noise pickup and gain peaking as a result of stray capacitance. The output voltage increases linearly with light intensity. This amplifier is designed for single-supply or dual-supply operation.
