Product Overview

The SPI-CANFD is a cost-effective, compact SPI-to-CANFD controller. It utilizes the MCP2518FD as its core controller and can be easily integrated into a microcontroller or embedded system via the SPI interface. The module supports both classic CAN 2.0B and CAN FD CAN frames, compliant with ISO 11898-1:2015. It supports arbitration bit rates up to 1Mbps and data bit rates up to 8Mbps. It features 31 configurable transmit or receive FIFOs, one transmit queue, and a transmit event FIFO with a 32-bit timestamp. The module consumes extremely low power, drawing only 15uA in sleep mode and a maximum operating current of 20mA.
