The customers applications:
Tests to replace Schottky diode rectifier (secondary side) on a few FlyBack/DCM 5V 2A power supply/adapters, as an attempt to reduce heat generated by the rectification .. reduce voltage drop across the rectifier. I read the specs .. the test items run well below the frequency limit of 100KHz, and have a long enough off/reverse time per cycle, and should keep the chip running. We’ll see. Anyway, this is worth a try pass or fail.
This sort of technology has been around for a few years now, but seems to be very rarely used.

QC7707 is a synchronous rectifier diode integrated with 40V MOSFET. It is used to replace the rectifier diode of flyback converter, which can be significantly reduced.
Heating, improve the conversion efficiency of the system. IC determines its switching state by detecting the source drain voltage of the integrated MOSFET.
QC7707 is compatible with either discontinuous or quasi resonant flyback converters.
